Do you want to be a priest close to people, build relationships, and help shape the future of parish life in Älvdalen?

Älvdalen Parish is looking for a curate who wishes to contribute theological security, pastoral presence, and engagement with people of all ages. Here you will have a broad and meaningful assignment in a community with a strong identity, close relationships, and a church that has a natural place both at life's major milestones and in everyday encounters.

As a curate in Älvdalen Parish, you will work closely with parishioners, volunteers, colleagues, and the local community. The duties include conducting services, performing church ceremonies, pastoral care, teaching, and meeting with people throughout their lives.

You will become part of a work team where collaboration, trust, and shared responsibility are important parts of daily life. At the same time, there is room to develop your own ideas and specific areas of responsibility based on your gifts and experiences, for example within worship, teaching, children and youth, adults, and the elderly.

Älvdalen is a community with a strong local identity, rich cultural heritage, and proximity to forests, mountains, and outdoor recreation. Here, vast forests, mountains, and rivers meet to form a landscape that shapes people's daily lives. Älvdalian – a unique and living language – is an important part of the community's soul. Craftsmanship, folk music, and traditional holidays have a natural place in the local community, as does nature and outdoor life with hunting, fishing, and hiking.

The parish is well rooted in the community and collaborates closely with the municipality, among other things in schools and elderly care. We are also engaged in local contexts such as POSOM, BRÅ, and the work to preserve the Älvdalian language.

Children's and youth activities are growing and are an important part of the parish's future. We are looking for you who

• are ordained priests in the Church of Sweden and secure in your theology
• have a genuine interest in people, parish building, and local context
• enjoy both independent work and close collaboration with others
• wish to contribute to a good work climate characterized by peace, trust, and hope for the future

It is meritorious if you have a few years of experience in parish work as a priest. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, teamwork skills, and the desire to help develop a living parish. The position requires a driver's license.
