Sports Groundskeeper for Sävsjö Municipality

Sävebo AB is the municipal housing company for Sävsjö Municipality. We manage 499 residential apartments in the municipality's four urban areas: Sävsjö, Vrigstad, Stockaryd, and Rörvik. In addition, we are responsible for approximately 14,000 sqm of commercial premises.

We also handle property management for AB Sävsjö Industribyggnader and Sävsjö Municipality, which means we manage an additional 130,000 sqm. Nearly 30 employees work at Sävebo AB, and our office is centrally located in Sävsjö.

A change process is underway within the municipality regarding Culture and Leisure properties. Therefore, this position is advertised by Sävebo, and the role may involve working across Sävebo's entire area of operations.

Job Responsibilities

As a sports groundskeeper, you have an interest in sports, enjoy meeting people, and are comfortable handling various types of vehicles such as lawnmowers and ice resurfacers. You are responsible and keep our facilities in order, both indoors, outdoors, and in natural settings.

During the summer, you work daytime hours as part of a team; during the winter, you work shifts.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a sports groundskeeper is considered an advantage.

As a person, you are organized, responsible, methodical, and meticulous in your thinking and work. You are good at planning and keeping things in order; you simply thrive when you have a plan to execute and meet deadlines.

You are confident in both familiar and unfamiliar situations you become involved in. You are solution-oriented and self-reliant, while also working well in a team.

You are positive and see opportunities to solve various challenges at work, taking pride in well-executed tasks.

You are a social person who handles Swedish well in both speech and writing.

About the Position

The position is a fixed-term contract until 2027-04-30, which may potentially convert into a permanent employment.

Working Hours: Roster. During the summer, you work daytime hours as part of a team; during the winter, you work shifts.

Permanent employees in Sävsjö Municipality are assigned to their regular workplace for civil defense purposes.

In the event of heightened alert, war threat, or war, the employee is required to report to their regular workplace.

The employer has the right to reassign employees to another workplace within the Sävsjö Municipality organization if the need arises.
