We are looking for a School Psychologist for the Student Health Service!

The Student Health Service is a central unit under the Education Administration that supports the schools' local student health work. This includes (besides the school psychologist) counselors, special education teachers, school nurses, and school doctors. The Student Health Service's primary focus is to work in a health-promoting and preventive manner to create good learning environments where all students can develop and achieve the goals of education.

Your responsibilities

As a school psychologist, you are part of the Student Health Service and work primarily in a health-promoting and preventive manner to support students' development towards educational goals. The work includes, among other things, contributing to accessible learning environments, providing education, supervision, and consultation to staff, participating in the school's attendance work, promoting mental health, and contributing to systematic quality work through the analysis of surveys and results, etc.

In addition to the promotional work, the role also includes other statutory and operational parts, such as psychological investigations and assessments of students, groups, and school situations to identify barriers to learning and suggest appropriate interventions. The role also involves collaboration with external actors, such as social services and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (BUP), to ensure a holistic perspective on the student's situation, as well as participation in the municipality's crisis support organization when needed.

You who apply

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. It is also desirable if you have previous work experience as a school psychologist.

To succeed in the role, you are independent, take initiative, and have good collaboration skills. You easily create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You also think strategically and have a broad perspective on issues.
