The home care service is based at Ullstämma Senior Housing and is responsible for home healthcare in the south-eastern parts of Linköping. We are now looking for a nurse for day shifts. We offer you a tailored introduction based on your experience.

About the role

Home care provides healthcare in the patient's home when they are unable to visit their primary healthcare center. In collaboration with primary care, specialist nurses, and care staff, the home care nurse plans and carries out the healthcare measures the patient needs.

Typical tasks include:

  • wound dressing changes

  • support with medication management

  • infusions and injections

  • blood sampling

  • vaccinations

  • assessments

  • trial fitting of incontinence products

  • delegation of tasks

  • supervision and guidance

Collaboration and support You are part of a team consisting of care staff, nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. An important part of your role is to coach and educate the care staff so that together you can provide each patient with the best possible life.

Clear routines To create security and clarity for you as a nurse, there is extensive support in the form of practical and easy-to-apply routines, policy documents, and checklists.

About home care

Home care consists of nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. We work together in an open-plan office at Ullstämma Senior Housing. We strive to take responsibility for a holistic view of our patients and their needs as a team. We work proactively and health-promotingly, with patient safety and patient satisfaction as our guiding principles.

  • Good leadership and short decision-making paths: Your manager is close by for support and to bounce ideas off. One of the facility's nurses is also always part of the local management group.

  • Community and support: You work closely with nursing colleagues, rehabilitation staff, and management.

Your experience and knowledge You are a licensed nurse, and we would appreciate it if you have worked a few years in elderly care. Our patients are often multi-morbid, which requires you to have broad knowledge of various diseases and conditions, as well as an interest in the aging population. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important.
