We are now looking for an engaged and development-oriented security officer to strengthen our internal security work.

Main Responsibilities

Your main tasks include processing and administration of cases within the entire security service. You may also be responsible for conducting training in security protection and other tasks related to security protection.

To succeed in this role, you need to have strong analytical skills and be able to clearly formulate your assessments in both written documentation and oral presentations with proposed measures. This requires attention to detail and the ability to structure large amounts of information. Occasionally, you will need to work at a high pace with unplanned tasks.

The position requires continuous education and further training, with good opportunities for further development. You will participate in exercises and other activities involving travel outside your duty station as needed.

The work can sometimes be intense, so you must be able to handle a high workload and work well in a team.

Together, we lead the division's security service forward.

Qualifications

• An academic degree in the field of security, or other education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
• At least five years of relevant work experience, preferably in a large organization/authority, regarding security work.
• Knowledge of the Security Protection Act.
• Experience in conducting security protection analyses and handling and administering security protection incidents.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within the Swedish Armed Forces, particularly in military security services.
• Experience in personnel security.
• Experience with security clearance checks.
• Experience working in authorities subject to the Security Protection Act.
• Experience with the SUA process.
• Experience in systematic security work.
• Experience in structured IT security work.
• Knowledge of the Swedish Armed Forces' IT systems within the intelligence and security function, e.g., IS U/S.
• Knowledge of control activities.
• Experience in planning and conducting training.
• Experience in staff work.
• Experience with security protection agreements.
• Valid Class B driver's license.

Information about the Recruiting Unit

The Supreme Headquarters houses the Supreme Commander and the Director General. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of January 1, 2023, the Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Department and independent supervision units.

Employment with us involves placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. A security clearance check with register control will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad. The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position.
