We are now looking for an Azure DevOps Specialist (Level 3 – Mid-level) for our client.

About the Assignment

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Specialist to strengthen our development and delivery capabilities within our development platforms. The assignment aims to enable efficient, secure, and scalable delivery flows throughout the entire DevSecOps chain – from code to test, deploy, and release. The consultant will be part of a team with a clear focus on automation, DevSecOps, and large-scale release on demand, working in close collaboration with development teams, architects, and internal operations/platform organizations. The assignment focuses on Azure DevOps as a platform, not general DevOps.

The assignment involves contributing to the further development and management of the organization's Azure DevOps platform. The work includes building and maintaining scalable CI/CD solutions that can be used by multiple development teams, as well as developing and quality-assuring pipelines using Managed DevOps Pools and YAML-based configurations. The assignment also includes working with package management and feeds, as well as participating in the creation and compliance of frameworks, governance, and technical policies related to Azure DevOps.

The consultant is expected to support development teams in their use of the platform and ensure that solutions are managed, lifecycle-managed, and used in a secure, standardized, and uniform manner. Furthermore, it involves integrating security and test automation into the delivery processes and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of working methods, flows, and an increased degree of automation.

We expect the consultant to have several years of experience as an Azure DevOps specialist and have a good understanding of Azure DevOps as a platform, being accustomed to working with YAML, Git, PowerShell, and C#. To succeed, experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is required, as well as experience working with package management, feeds, and automated flows.

It is an advantage to have worked according to agile methods, preferably within the SAFe framework where collaboration, structure, and change go hand in hand. Additionally, there should be a genuine interest in DevSecOps and a desire to simplify and improve not just the code, but also processes and working methods.

Qualifications for the role include experience with source code security scanning, managing container platforms, or scalable solutions for continuous testing, or a developer background in .Net.

In the assignment, the consultant is expected to have a team-oriented and communicative working style and actively contribute to collaboration with other roles and teams. The consultant should be able to share their knowledge, be curious about new technology, and apply a solution-focused approach in their work. Furthermore, the consultant is expected to act humbly in their expert role and feel confident taking an advisory role towards development teams and other stakeholders.

We work hybrid, which means working at the office alternating with remote work. In the role, the consultant will report to the Group Manager IT Test & Development Support.

Requirements

Must-have requirements:

• At least 4 years of documented experience as an Azure DevOps specialist
• Experience with automated delivery flows from code to test and operations
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and security in the delivery process
• Ability to build scalable solutions for multiple development teams
• Good practical experience with Azure DevOps as a platform

Desirable requirements:

• Developer background in .Net (C#)
• Experience with agile working methods (e.g., SAFe)
• Experience with test automation and CI/CD frameworks
• Experience with security scanning in pipelines (e.g., SonarQube)
