Job Description

Do you want to be part of making a vital difference for vulnerable people? Then the role of Operational Leader is a meaningful position. As an Operational Leader, you are responsible for institution-wide coordination and management of ongoing work outside of office hours, specifically during evenings and nights, with the aim of promoting a safe care and work environment.

You guide and strengthen your colleagues in their work and ensure that operations are conducted in a legally secure manner and in accordance with current guidelines, methods, and established goals. Specifically, this includes being responsible for incident command during alarm situations and taking necessary measures following incidents. You report identified deficiencies and deviations from routines to relevant managers. You prepare and update security assessments and make decisions regarding coercive measures according to the Act Concerning Care of Young Persons with Special Problems (LVU), the Act on Care of Abusers of Hard Drugs (LSU), and the Act on Care of Abusers of Alcohol and Drugs (LVM), in accordance with SiS work and delegation orders.

Qualifications

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you are a stable person who remains calm even in stressful situations. You have the will and ability to act based on current decisions, guidelines, and policies. You have a holistic view and always act in the best interest of the operation. Furthermore, you are structured in your work and have a good ability to plan and prioritize effectively.

You should also have:

• A suitable university education such as Social Work, Behavioral Science, or another equivalent university degree. Alternatively, a vocational university education of at least two years (e.g., Treatment Pedagogy) combined with experience working at SiS or a similar organization.
• Several years of experience working at SiS or another organization focused on care, treatment, and security, such as social services, healthcare, or the prison and probation service.
• Good ability to lead, prioritize, and coordinate a work group.

Employment

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement. Working hours are distributed across day, evening, and night shifts.
