We are now looking for our new manager for the port and siding tracks! You will belong to the Leisure and Public Environment department within Falkenberg Municipality. This department is responsible for the management of Falkenberg Port, Glommen Port, and the city's siding tracks. Your mission will be to develop and manage these areas!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a technical manager with us, you have overall responsibility for the port and siding tracks. You are the client for planned maintenance measures and have ongoing follow-up of these regarding implementation and economy with your nearest manager. You work with long-term maintenance planning and are responsible for maintaining good technical status within your area of responsibility. Your assignment also includes drawing up agreements and following up on operation agreements as well as revising various types of permits.

In your role, you will have close cooperation with contractors within the port and siding track operations. You will also work together with both colleagues in the municipality and external consultants and various authorities, which means it is important that you have good cooperation skills, are receptive, and at the same time clear and structured.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have experience in the industry! You have a university degree in civil engineering or higher education in building technology, community planning, road and water construction, or a corresponding education that the employer deems relevant.

It is an advantage if you have experience/knowledge of:

• project management
• budget planning
• procurement in public administration

If you also have technical competence, especially long-term maintenance planning for quays or similar as well as reinforced concrete structures such as bridges and maritime connections, a captain's license or equivalent, it is also an advantage. To succeed in the role, you need to have nautical knowledge and interest.

As a person, you take responsibility for your tasks, enjoy working with complex issues, are structured and engaged. For you, it is equally natural to work both independently and in a group. You are also the person who represents the municipality in various contexts, and it is important with a professional approach and the ability to cooperate. You possess economic awareness, can handle stressful situations well, and have good communicative skills in both speech and writing. A category B driver's license for manual transmission is a requirement.
