We are in an exciting phase following a reorganization that has strengthened our working methods and collaboration. Within the administration, we work on developing and managing the municipality's traffic systems and public spaces.

The administration consists of five departments and approximately 140 dedicated employees. Together, we work with everything from planning and regulatory authority tasks to projects, production, operations, and business support. Our common mission is to create accessible, attractive, and vibrant environments – for citizens, visitors, and businesses.

The position is located at the Authority Unit within the Infrastructure and Public Spaces Department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for another traffic engineer for our Authority Unit, which is responsible for the management of the municipality's streets, roads, and public places, as well as regulatory authority tasks within our areas of responsibility. An important part of the role as a traffic engineer is regulatory authority work within the traffic sector, and you will work with varied traffic cases such as traffic arrangement plans, transport dispensations, local traffic regulations, wayfinding, road equipment plans, parking issues, and traffic safety issues. You will also have contact with the general public, answer questions, and receive feedback.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have at least a three-year university education with a focus on traffic/urban planning or other education/experience that the employer considers equivalent. We would like you to have worked for a few years in the traffic sector and have knowledge of traffic planning, the Traffic Ordinance, local traffic regulations, and traffic arrangement plans. You need to have good digital skills as all work takes place in various digital systems.

You are aware of the importance of traffic issues for residents, businesses, and visitors, and you focus on conscious communication and dialogue both within and outside the administration.

You are a driven person who can quickly switch between different tasks during a workday on your own initiative. You are goal-oriented and trustworthy, and you care about providing good service to the public, colleagues, and partners. We believe you are receptive, meticulous, and flexible in your work, and you thrive working both independently and in a team. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Salary: Monthly salary.
