We are a small, well-functioning health centre with approximately 5,350 registered patients, located in western Värmland near the Norwegian border. Here, you have excellent conditions for an active outdoor lifestyle while maintaining good connections to both Karlstad and Oslo. We offer our residents accessible, high-quality care close to home. We are proud to be the best health centre in Värmland at admitting patients for an initial assessment within the three-day care guarantee.

The team at the health centre is a wonderful group passionate about healthcare and its development. We actively work on workplace environment and development, keeping both the patient and the employee in focus.

Important aspects of our work include having no waiting lists for our specialist clinics. Various professional groups work closely together, preferably in teams: doctors, district nurses, nurses, assistant nurses, social worker, psychologist, healthcare administrators, rehab coordinator, and podiatrist. We work innovatively with healthcare tasks. We rotate tasks so that patients receive the most effective care at the right level (BEON). We also actively offer digital opportunities for our patients to ensure accessibility for everyone and their needs.

Your responsibilities

As a district doctor at the Årjäng Health Centre, you will work with clinic duties where different work groups collaborate in teams around the individual patient, together with the patient. We also actively work on providing our residents with digital accessibility in healthcare. We work from the perspective of Best Effective Care Level (BEON).

You will have the opportunity to shape the operations based on their needs, using your competence, experience, and ideas. We achieve success together in an stimulating learning environment with open doors and a welcoming, inclusive climate. Workplace environment and quality are always in focus.

Your knowledge and competencies

You are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general practice. We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in primary care and learning from the breadth of our mission. You have good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

You are independent, responsible, and concerned with the best interests of the work group, while also being able to clarify your own boundaries and needs. We wish that you, just like us, work long-term but are not afraid to try new things.
