You work closely with clients and become an important part of their lives. We are now looking for a nursing assistant for a full-time fixed-term contract for 6 months.

As a nursing assistant, you work in the clients' homes. Therefore, it is important that you enjoy visiting different homes and meeting people with different needs and life situations. The work involves both care and practical tasks. You work during day and evening shifts, as well as every other weekend.

We are based at Vaksala Södra Home Care, which consists of two operations working in the Johannesbäck and Årsta Södra areas. You will primarily work in Johannesbäck, but if needed, you may also support operations in Årsta Södra.

To travel between clients, you need to be able to cycle year-round. We offer well-maintained and well-equipped bicycles so that you can cycle safely and securely even in poorer weather conditions.

Your responsibilities

As a nursing assistant, you help clients with personal care and daily chores such as meals, hygiene, cleaning, and shopping. You also perform delegated tasks from nurses or other licensed personnel. An important part of the job is documentation according to current regulations and routines.

You provide support to both clients and relatives and contribute to good cooperation within the work group. Together, we work to provide secure and professional care.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Trained nursing assistant
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speaking, writing, listening, and reading comprehension
• You can cycle in all weather conditions
• You feel confident with delegation

You are flexible and can quickly adapt to changed circumstances. You are calm and maintain focus even in stressful situations. You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive work climate.

As of July 1, 2023, "nursing assistant" is a protected professional title. To use the title of nursing assistant, you must provide proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare or a certificate that you were employed permanently as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.

We will request a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) before employment can be offered.

In your application, you must state your citizenship. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also be able to prove that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the requirement to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, as required by the Aliens Ordinance.

Employment with Uppsala Municipality may involve being placed on the war establishment (krigsplacering).

Salary: Monthly salary.
