On our ward, Ward 13, we care for elderly, multi-morbid patients with orthopedic issues. Most have complex problems and functional impairments, where specialist knowledge in elderly care and a multidisciplinary approach are crucial for diagnosis and treatment.

Our work within the clinic does not start from a diagnosis but looks at the patient as a whole. We strive in various ways to contribute to the patient retaining as many of their functions as possible.

We work in teams with a holistic view, aiming to meet the specific needs of elderly patients. The team consists of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and secretaries.

All professional categories assess the patient's condition, and a summary is made at the team conference, where an individual plan is drawn up. There is close cooperation with municipalities and primary care to ensure the patient is treated at the correct level of care.

We want to develop geriatrics and are looking for you who have a special interest in caring for our elderly. In this work, we want to utilize your ideas and thoughts to drive the work forward.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a nurse, you have an important role where you often act as a coordinator in contact with relatives, other units, the municipality, etc. The work also includes assessing and performing both general and specific nursing care around health issues.

You will be part of a pleasant work group with an open climate and many experienced colleagues.

Nursing students according to the ULVE model are part of the ward. We would appreciate it if you had an interest in supervising students.

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in Region Kronoberg's clinical development program, which spans 2 years. Opportunities for paid education to become a specialist nurse also exist.

When working rotational shifts (both day and night shifts), you receive working time reduction: a night index of 1.4, meaning one hour at night counts as 1.4 worked hours. If you work unsocial hours (OB), you receive an extra bonus equivalent to your regular salary multiplied by 0.5.

You schedule your own shifts based on the operational needs and your own professional development.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a licensed nurse and are interested in caring for the elderly. Previous experience is meritorious.
