About the position

Residents of Jämtland County who need specialist psychiatric care receive their treatment in outpatient or inpatient care within the psychiatry department at Östersund Hospital. The staff at the units have a significant responsibility for developing and improving care in collaboration with the department's management. There are approximately 270 employees in the department in total.

Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist, you conduct assessments of functional ability and implement measures based on the patient's resources and limitations, as well as support and adaptation of the physical, mental, and social environment to facilitate activity performance and achieve a sustainable activity balance. Collaboration with other healthcare providers or actors, within or outside the region, is important to establish a functional daily life for the patient.

We appreciate that you are adaptable to circumstances and individuals. The work requires a high degree of independence, endurance, and good teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience in psychiatry is an advantage.
• Valid driver's license (Category B) is required.
