RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to be part of a dedicated team where patient needs are at the center? We are now looking for an occupational therapist for our surgical operations.
As an occupational therapist with us, you will primarily work on our palliative care ward (PAVA), but the role also involves work on other wards within the surgical department. The work is varied and offers the opportunity to meet patients with different needs and care situations.
At PAVA, you will meet patients with palliative care needs and their relatives. Care is provided in a person-centered manner, and the work is carried out in a team together with nurses, assistant nurses, doctors, social workers, physiotherapists, and care planning nurses. Together, you plan and provide care based on the patient's needs and wishes.
You will be placed in the Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy unit, working on the surgical ward together with a colleague occupational therapist, a rehabilitation assistant, and several physiotherapists.
The profession of occupational therapist is varied. The starting point is always the patient's needs and conditions. You meet many individuals with different diagnoses and conditions, making the work exciting and challenging. You assess and develop the individual's ability to participate and engage by evaluating physical, cognitive, and social skills, as well as prescribing assistive devices. Your role is important during team rounds, care planning, and handovers between the municipality, region, and primary care to ensure the patient has a safe and secure return home.
We strive for a work culture where everyone is involved, active in their own learning, and contributes to moving the operations forward with the patient in focus.
