Personal assistance is a service under the LSS Act (The Support and Service Act for Certain Functionally Disabled). As a personal assistant, you provide individual support and care to individuals who have been granted personal assistance because they need help with one or more basic needs. Every client is unique, and your tasks will vary based on the client's needs. You value the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly.

About the role

The role of a personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is sensitive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you enjoy having an active job and like activities such as cycling and having varied tasks, as some hours are spent at school. The girl lives in a house with her father, so it is also important that you can collaborate well and truly enjoy making a difference in someone's life. You need to be calm and secure as a person and be able to work in a low-affective manner. This is the first time we are recruiting for this girl, which means we intend to stably and long-term create a completely new work group. Therefore, you who apply need to see the opportunities and like the challenge of being part of a newly formed team!

We are now looking for you who fits the following:

• Want to work for a teenage girl residing in Strömsnäsbruk

• Have good knowledge of Swedish

• Have experience with autism and intellectual disability

• Non-smoker (during working hours)

It is also an advantage if you:

• Have experience in similar work

• Have a B driving license and access to a car

• Speak Bulgarian, Serbian, or Russian

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.

Working hours, degree of employment, and salary:

The current form of employment is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment degree of 75–80%. The working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends. Roughly, the working hours look like this, and you work every other weekend: approx. 06:30–15:15 (single assistance at school) and approx. 15:15–22:30 (double assistance at home).

Start date immediately or according to agreement.

Being employed at Humana

A prerequisite for starting an employment with us at Humana is that you, as an applicant, can present a valid ID document and any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old.

According to legislation, we as employers are required to request a certificate of good conduct from all employees who are to work as personal assistants for a child under 18 years of age. Therefore, you need to present an extract from the police's criminal record and suspicion register prior to any potential employment. Further information will be provided if you proceed in the recruitment process.
