Sweden's construction and property sector is facing a major transition to reduce its climate impact and contribute to sustainable societal development. The industry's overarching goals are ambitious – targeting net-zero emissions by 2045. Reaching this goal requires innovation, collaboration, and a strong ability to translate strategic sustainability goals into concrete actions and measurable results.

At Lindholmen Science Park, we don't just talk about change; we lead it in practice. We offer a neutral arena where industry, academia, and the public sector collaborate to find solutions to today's greatest societal challenges. Do you have a background in the construction and contracting industry and want to transform these challenges into real, successful innovation projects? Then we are looking for you!

About the Role As an Innovation & Project Manager, you play a key role in driving important and complex initiatives from idea to completion. You are the unifying force between industry, academia, and public operations, focusing on finding practical solutions to reduce the climate impact of the construction sector. You build and develop networks and act as a positive force in internal and external collaborations.

Throughout the project's entire lifecycle, you lead and collaborate with colleagues to plan, organize, execute, monitor, and close projects. You are responsible for delivering projects within agreed frameworks regarding time, budget, and resources, and you serve as the main contact for funders regarding project implementation and reporting. You also contribute to internal processes regarding resource planning and competence needs to create good conditions for the business.

Main focus areas for the role:

  • Circular material flows: Reducing emissions from building materials and transitioning to circular material flows with increased reuse and resource efficiency in both construction production and the existing building stock.

  • Fossil-free processes & logistics: Managing and reducing emissions from construction sites, construction transport, and machinery, including electrification, fossil-free fuels, and more efficient logistics.

  • Climate reporting & disclosure: Handling new and increasing requirements for climate reporting, sustainability reporting, and fossil-free construction processes.

  • Climate adaptation: Future-proofing buildings and cities to withstand the effects of a changing climate.

Qualifications

  • Several years of experience from the construction and infrastructure industry, with a good understanding of project processes.

  • Documented experience in leading projects, for example within construction contracting, property development, energy systems, or construction logistics.

  • Good understanding of the construction sector's sustainability challenges.

  • Experience working in a network-based manner and driving change through collaboration.

  • Experience in translating sustainability requirements into practical implementation.

  • Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements.

  • Fluent communication in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Merits

  • Education in relevant subject areas such as project, process, and innovation management.

  • Experience with application processes for national and/or international funders.

  • Experience with climate calculations, life cycle assessments (LCA), or climate requirements in projects.

  • Good skills in conducting analyses, compiling results, and designing and presenting materials for different target groups.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who want to contribute to a sustainable, innovative Sweden within the green transition of the construction and property sector. You have a holistic view of the construction process and are motivated by turning sustainability goals into concrete actions and measurable results – from operational processes to strategic management and future-proofing. As a person, you are relationship-building and pedagogical; you are driven by creating change together with others. You are skilled at communicating, engaging, and setting the right expectations with our partners. When conditions change rapidly, you are flexible, solution-oriented, and see new opportunities.
