Pipefitter for Stockholm Water and Waste

As a contractor for maintenance and renewal work on the underground water and wastewater pipe network within the Stockholm and Huddinge operational area, the unit is now facing another recruitment. As a pipefitter with us, you will become part of a large, competent, and skilled group of water and wastewater construction pipefitters who together tackle the challenges in the field on the local water and wastewater pipe network. This time, we are looking for a pipefitter primarily assigned to projects in our operational area in Västerort, based out of Ulvsunda, Bryggerivägen 10, Bromma.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a pipefitter in water and wastewater construction, you are responsible for emergency and planned repairs, maintenance, and new installations on the underground water and wastewater pipe network within Stockholm Water and Waste's operational area.

The work involves excavation, pipe laying, and ground works in projects ranging from minor repairs to major new installations. You work in work crews and, together with colleagues and contractors, are responsible for planning and executing the work.

The role suits you if you enjoy practical outdoor work and a varied daily routine where collaboration, problem-solving, safety, and quality are important components. You work closely with the foreman but are expected to be self-sufficient in your daily work.

The work is physically demanding and is carried out with high demands on safety, quality, and working environment.

The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be based out of the headquarters in Ulvsunda, Bromma.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are structured, responsible, and have an easy time collaborating with others. You are meticulous, reliable, and contribute to a good working environment. You adapt to changed conditions, take initiative, and have a strong focus on quality in your work.

To succeed in the role, you have:

• At least three years of experience as a pipefitter/construction worker in water and wastewater construction, as well as good knowledge of underground water and wastewater systems
• Accustomed to physically demanding work
• A category B driver's license is required
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written
• A category C driver's license is meritorious
• Loader training is meritorious

As part of your employment, a security check will be conducted. In the event of future on-call or standby duties, a security investigation may also become relevant.
