Morkullan is a preschool with approximately 20 children, located in a villa adapted for the activity with views of Gimåt and Höglandssjön. The preschool operates as a parent cooperative in close collaboration between parents and staff.

We are currently looking for staff with solid experience of Type 1 diabetes who wish to work as a resource person at Morkullan.

What can we offer you?

We are looking for you who want to work as a resource person for a four-year-old child with Type 1 diabetes. Your task is to provide the child with security and support in the daily management of diabetes during the preschool day.

Your future tasks

Monitor and support the child's blood sugar levels according to agreed routines, as well as handle insulin dosing, carbohydrate counting, and meals. You should be a secure adult in the presence of signs of high/low blood sugar. You are in close proximity to the child during movements within the preschool and during excursions. You document according to the preschool's routines when necessary and follow medical recommendations and instructions.

You will work in close collaboration with our staff and guardians to ensure that the child has a secure and functional preschool time.

Who are you?

Knowledge of and solid experience with Type 1 diabetes is highly meritorious. Experience working with children is welcome but not a requirement.

You are confident in yourself, responsible, and have an empathetic personality. You have good communication skills and the ability to collaborate. You need to be calm and proactive in situations where the child's health is affected.
