Welcome to a small hospital with a big heart, where the "we-feeling" permeates everything we do. At the Emergency Department in Torsby, you will have a varied and developmental role with close collaboration and the patient in focus.
Your workplace
The "we-feeling" is constantly present at Torsby Hospital, and all units play a central role in the work with and around our patients. We are a small hospital in northern Värmland with a big heart and commitment to our patients and employees. All units and partners are highlighted as an important part of the hub to ensure smooth and safe operations for visitors. Good collaboration between units, short decision-making paths, and close contact with the management group are characteristics of our workplace. We care about the health and well-being of our staff, and we have access to our own staff gym and personal trainer.
You are offered a varied and exciting job as a nurse at our Emergency Department. The team welcoming you is tightly knit, consisting of doctors, nurses, and assistant nurses. We value a good work environment and a positive atmosphere, which we create together through a welcoming culture where we support and help each other.
We are currently looking for two nurses – one for a permanent position and one for a temporary position.
Your responsibilities
As we work with a wide range of diseases, diagnoses, and conditions, this role offers you the opportunity to develop significantly in your profession. You are the person who meets the patient upon arrival at the Emergency Department, is available to answer questions, and ensures the patient feels safe.
Your duties include performing checks, taking samples, casting, and assisting doctors with various procedures.
We are open 24/7, 365 days a year, giving you the opportunity for a great variation in working hours. We put significant effort into scheduling, including making every fourth weekend shift possible, which has become a successful concept for our employees.
Your skills and competencies
We are looking for you who are a trained nurse with good experience in the profession. To thrive with us, it is important that you have a genuine interest in people and empathetic abilities. We look for someone who communicates clearly and has the ability to create a sense of security and calm in the patients you meet. Collaboration is of utmost importance here, both within the team and between clinics. It is important that you can work independently and make your own decisions when required. You have a positive attitude and treat patients, relatives, and colleagues with respect. To succeed in this role, it is important that you master Swedish in both speech and writing.
