Hörby Municipality offers a variety of tasks and professions. Working with us is primarily about providing service to our citizens. We actively work to be a good employer with favorable employment terms, working environment, and development opportunities.

Hörby Municipality is now offering youth jobs within two of our important operations: the catering unit (as well as care and assistance - published in a separate job posting).

This is an opportunity for you who want to gain work experience, try out a profession, and take a step closer to work or studies. You do not need to have worked before. The most important thing is that you are curious, want to try things out, and are interested in learning.

When you start, you will receive an introduction to the workplace. You will also be assigned a supervisor or contact person who will help you get into the tasks and whom you can turn to during your employment.

3 position(s).

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the catering unit, you will work in the municipality's school kitchen and dining hall together with regular staff, such as chefs and meal assistants.

The work is practical and varied. You might help with:

  • Preparations for meals
  • Simple food preparation, such as salads, vegetables, or side dishes
  • Dishwashing and cleaning of kitchen equipment
  • Cleaning and tidying in the kitchen, dining hall, and work surfaces
  • Simple tasks regarding goods and storage
  • Following hygiene and safety routines

You will also get a glimpse of how we work with special diets, self-control, deliveries, and food waste.

You contribute to a safe and pleasant meal environment for children, students, and staff.

This could suit you if you are curious about working with food, service, and practical tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Since the positions are part of a special initiative for youth jobs, we prioritize applicants who are outside of work and studies.

You do not need education or previous work experience. It is an advantage if you enjoy service, practical work, or helping other people. Most importantly, you must be interested, willing to learn, and do your best based on your conditions.

For employment, you must be able to show an extract from the police's suspicion and criminal record register before starting.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: Ends: 2026-12-31.
Working hours: Schedule.

  • Period: September 1 to December 31, 2026
  • Scope: 50 percent, approx. four hours per day
  • Salary: Hourly wage + holiday pay, according to collective agreement
  • Last application date: July 31
  • Interviews: Planned during week 32, on August 6 and 7.

In this recruitment, we have replaced the cover letter with selection questions. This makes the application easier and helps us assess all applicants in an equal manner. Your answers are an important part of our selection. You can also attach a CV if you wish.

We warmly welcome your application!
