Work as Hotel and Restaurant Staff on Finnlines in Malmö!

Are you service-oriented, thrive in a varied work environment, and want to try something completely new? Then a job at sea might be for you!

Finnlines is seeking seasonal staff for our ships departing from Malmö. You will work onboard in an engaged team and get the chance to develop within both hotel and restaurant operations at sea.

To work at sea, certain safety training is required. If you already have Basic Safety, Crowd Management, Maritime Security, and a Medical Fitness Certificate, you can start working immediately!

About the Role

As part of the catering department, you will work within both hotel and restaurant operations onboard. Your responsibilities include:

• Serving and customer service in the restaurant and café
• Cleaning of public areas and cabins
• Handling and distribution of goods
• Collaborating with colleagues to create a pleasant and efficient work environment
• Ability to be away from home for extended periods

During your shifts, you will stay in your own cabin onboard. Permanent staff typically work two weeks onboard followed by two weeks off. During temporary assignments, other schedules may apply.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, has a problem-solving mindset, and a good ability to see where you are needed. You are service-minded, responsible, and have a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• 3-year upper secondary education (advantageous if focused on hotel, restaurant, or service)
• Experience from cleaning, restaurant, hotel, retail, sales, or other service occupations
• Swedish and English are required
• Knowledge of Polish and/or German is advantageous
• We prefer that you live in Malmö or the surrounding area
• Basic Safety Certificate
