We are now looking for a mechanic for our client's workshop in Gothenburg. The company operates within the automotive industry and focuses on development and prototypes for heavy vehicles. Here you will be part of an innovative team working on future vehicle solutions, with the opportunity to influence and shape technical solutions from start to finish!

About the position
As a mechanic in the development/prototype workshop, you will work in a team of approximately 20 employees. Your tasks include prototype construction, conversions, troubleshooting, installation of measurement equipment, and test support for the workshop's various types of test vehicles. You work closely with designers and get the opportunity early in the process to influence how future solutions will look. In the team, you help each other with all kinds of tasks where you contribute to developing and driving the work forward.

The position is a consultancy role with daytime hours, with the possibility of flexible working hours. The start date is by agreement. Both Swedish and English are used in the workplace, so it is important that you feel comfortable with both languages. During certain periods, the role may also involve business travel.

Responsibilities
As a mechanic, your tasks are varied, and it is important that you thrive with this breadth. Your responsibilities include:

• Building and modifying prototypes for test vehicles
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Installing and preparing measurement equipment for tests and evaluations
• Supporting tests of new vehicle solutions
• Actively participating in development and planning within the team

About you
We are looking for you who have a background as a mechanic with self-drive and an independent working style. You are a curious and solution-oriented person who enjoys working both independently and in close collaboration with others. You are analytical and like to think about how you can make solutions even better, while being flexible and enjoying varied tasks. Furthermore, you enjoy developing and are happy to bring new ideas and innovative solutions.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Important for the position:

• Category B driver's license
• Education in automotive technology
• Previous experience as an automotive mechanic (car, truck, or bus)
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Meritorious for the position:

• Category D driver's license
• Previous experience reading drawings and handling CAD data
• Previous experience working with hybrid and fully electric systems
