We are looking for a Test and Development Engineer with automotive experience for an exciting project.

Background of the assignment

The client operates the world's first full-scale test environment for future traffic safety. What makes the facility unique is that the different traffic environments allow for testing advanced safety systems and their functions for all types of traffic and driving situations. This enables research, development, and certification of future traffic safety systems and serves as an international arena open to vehicle manufacturers, suppliers, regulators, universities, and colleges from around the world.

Assignment Description

The client is seeking a Test and Development Engineer with automotive experience. The placement for this assignment is at Lindholmen in Gothenburg, but some time will also be spent at a test track outside of Borås.

You will join a team working with external clients, responsible for verification at the complete vehicle level. The role involves preparing and executing various types of tests in vehicles, as well as analyzing and documenting results. You will support function owners and developers in the continuous work of developing the product, as well as planning testing against test environments and schedules. We see you as responsible, communicative, enjoying problem-solving, and having a positive attitude.

You need to have the following experience/competence:

• Ability to understand RISE's operations, needs, and challenges.
• Ability to handle complex processes requiring good analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team and in close collaboration with the client in a project-oriented manner.
• A professional approach and good treatment in all contacts with the client, their employees, and in general.
• Being advisory and sharing your knowledge.

Required Requirements

• A BSc, MSc in a relevant field, or equivalent post-secondary education.
• Worked for at least 7 years in verification and testing related to the automotive industry.
• Experience with Vector tools such as CANalyzer, as well as logging and diagnostic tools for automotive.
• Experience in leading teams and planning work.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Swedish Category B driver's license.
• Good teamwork skills and responsibility for completing your tasks.

Meritorious

• Previously developed test methods.
• Knowledge and experience in programming languages such as Python.
• Test track driving license from, for example, Hällered equivalent to T2.
• Driver's license category C or CE.
• Experience with ISO 26262.
