About the Client Company

DFDS Logistics Services AB is a transport company within the automotive industry located in Arendal. The company operates 24/7, six days a week, and employs approximately 250 full-time staff. The vehicle fleet consists of approximately 300 vehicles, including 80 trucks and 220 trailers.

About the Role

As a Traffic Planner at DFDS Logistics Services AB, you will work in an operational role responsible for daily planning and handling of transport operations within the transport company in Arendal. The role involves covering for regular traffic planners when needed, primarily during sick leave, holidays, and the summer period.

The position is part-time (40–60%), and working hours are primarily during daytime. The duration of assignments may vary, but there may be periods where you work several weeks in a row. You will become part of an experienced team in a business that operates 24/7, six days a week, with an extensive vehicle fleet consisting of both trucks and trailers.

The assignment is a temporary hire with the possibility of permanent placement later on. DFDS is looking for 1–2 people who can work extra and be available with relatively short notice. Training takes place on-site and is estimated to last approximately 14 weeks.

About You

We are looking for someone who thrives in a varied role where the pace can change quickly.

You are confident in your communication and speak equally well with drivers and colleagues. We place great emphasis on your personal attitude and your ability to solve problems that arise along the way. You should have a good basic understanding of logistics and be comfortable using the computer as a work tool.

The role is perfect for you who are studying logistics/transportation and want to work extra, or for you who have reached retirement age but miss the pulse of the industry. We also welcome other applicants who have another main occupation and want the opportunity to work extra when needed.

Requirements for the Position

• Basic understanding of logistics
• Good ability to prioritize
• General system and computer literacy (internal system training provided)
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English
• 100% other main occupation

Direct Recruitment:

Ambulatory Consultant:

You are employed by us at DFDS Professionals but work out at our clients. Being an ambulatory consultant means that you are employed by us, DFDS Professionals, to perform work at the client company, and your workplace, working hours, and tasks may thus vary within an agreed service area. Selection is ongoing, and appointment may take place before the last application date.
