As a preschool assistant, you play a vital role in creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn and develop as individuals. By engaging in children's play and activities, you help them develop social and emotional skills while fostering their self-confidence and independence.

We are now looking for a preschool assistant for a temporary position at Daggkåpans Preschool for the academic year 2026/2027.

Daggkåpans Preschool is located in a residential area in Skattkärr and is characterized by close collaboration among the educators. Together, we have developed a common pedagogical platform that permeates the education and work on all units. This creates a strong sense of community, a clear thread throughout the operations, and a "we-feeling" among both children and staff.

In our work, we start from a common theme that creates conditions for joyful learning. We are inspired by a play-pedagogical approach where play, curiosity, imagination, and participation are important parts of the children's daily lives. All units work based on the same theme, adapted to the children's age, maturity, and interests. In this way, we bring the curriculum to life and create an operation where learning, joy, and community go hand in hand.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool assistant at Daggkåpans Preschool, you work on a unit for children aged 1–3 years. You are an important part of the work team led by preschool teachers, and together you are responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and developmental education based on the preschool curriculum, other regulatory documents, as well as the children's needs and interests.

In this role, you actively participate in the planning, implementation, documentation, and development of the pedagogical activities. You contribute to creating learning environments that spark curiosity, the joy of discovery, and a desire to learn. An important part of the assignment is also to build secure relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues, as well as to contribute to good collaboration within the work team.

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their assignment, is engaged in the development of the operations, and sees collaboration and communication as natural parts of daily work. Together, we work to give every child the best conditions for development, learning, and well-being.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a preschool assistant through upper secondary or post-secondary education equivalent to at least 1300 credits.

As a person, we see that you are flexible and adapt easily to different situations and needs in the operations. You are stable and secure in your professional role, which creates trust among both children and colleagues. We value your ability to collaborate well, as the work is based on us creating a stimulating and safe environment together. Furthermore, you are relationship-building and have the ability to build positive and trusting relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues.
