Economic Assistant to the Cost Unit (1 position)

Do you want a practical, varied, and important job where you contribute to good meals for children, students, and the elderly? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

About 70 employees work at the Cost Unit. Every day, our preparation kitchens cook around 4,500 meals for preschools, schools, and elderly care. We strive to prepare delicious, home-cooked meals with high-quality ingredients. Our meals should be tasty, safe, nutritious, and adapted to the needs of our diners.

Job Responsibilities

As an Economic Assistant, you play an important role in the daily work of providing our diners with good, safe, and nutritious meals. You work in kitchens within, for example, preschools, schools, or elderly care, and contribute to making meals a positive part of the day.

The tasks may include preparing, serving, and handling breakfast, lunch, and snacks. You also help with common kitchen tasks such as dishwashing, self-control checks, basic food handling, receiving goods, restocking, and setting up dining areas.

The role involves working according to current routines for hygiene, food safety, and special diets. This means you need to be meticulous, responsible, and understand the importance of handling food safely. You meet children, students, elderly people, colleagues, and other staff members daily, making good customer service and a service-oriented attitude important parts of the assignment.

The work is practical and varied. You need to be able to take responsibility for your tasks, be flexible when daily conditions change, and contribute to good collaboration in the kitchen. Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen premises, surfaces, and equipment are a natural part of the job.
