RESPONSIBILITIES

The catering department is currently looking for a cook for one of our kitchens at one of the municipality's preschools. The position is a temporary assignment until the turn of the year, with the possibility of extension. The kitchen serves between 90-110 portions daily, and the position is full-time. You will be responsible for the daily operations and all typical kitchen tasks. Parts of the main components are supplied by one of our large central kitchens, but you have ample opportunity to produce and prepare large parts of the meals yourself in the kitchen based on your judgment. We always make sauces, cook pasta and potatoes, prepare hearty snacks, and bake in the small kitchen. You will serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks to all the children at the preschool.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education as a cook or equivalent knowledge, with a few years of experience in the profession.
• Previous experience in the public sector is meritorious.
• Since the job involves working independently, you must be able to work autonomously and take personal responsibility, although the role includes meetings and weekly contact with other preschool kitchens.
• Knowledge of self-control and food hygiene (HACCP).
• Swedish as a spoken language, as you need to be able to communicate effectively with the preschool staff.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start: Start date by agreement or from school start August 17, end: 2026-12-31.
