Närvård Frostviken in Gäddede is now looking for a Nurse Assistant for the Lab at the Health Center

Närvård Frostviken is a joint organization between Strömsund Municipality and Region Jämtland Härjedalen. By bringing the health center, ambulance service, special housing, and home care under the same organization, a close and cohesive care is created for the population in Frostviken. The goal is to offer secure, high-quality, and cost-effective care with short decision-making paths and close collaboration between professions.

The operations are located in Gäddede, where the health center, the special housing Levinsgården, and the security housing Forsgården are gathered. Home care is based at Forsgården, which contributes to natural collaboration between the operations.

Job Responsibilities

The work includes standard duties within primary care, primarily working at the laboratory (LAB).

Duties include:

• Handling the Cosmic program, bookings, and sample collection.
• Assisting doctors with various examinations, such as gynecological examinations and rectoscopies.
• Assisting with minor surgeries, dressing minor wounds, taking ECGs, and taking local samples such as Strep A, CRP, and urine strips.
• Responsible for laundry and storage, including ordering storage materials and some administration.
• Sterilization handling and some cleaning may be included.
• Working in a team with the rest of the reception staff in a varied and challenging job.
• Having close contact with patients and treating them with respect and warmth.
• Home visits to patients who have difficulty getting to the health center for sample collection.

Qualifications

You are a trained nurse assistant with experience and interest in primary care.

As a person, you have:

• Good collaboration skills.
• Great commitment and are happy to take on new challenges.
• Ability to prioritize among your tasks.
• An ability to see opportunities to do the best for the patient.

You have a Category B driver's license.
