Boliden is a high-tech metals company with its own mines and smelters, working long-term to guarantee society's access to base and precious metals. For a century, our work has been part of the value chains that have shaped modern society. At Boliden, we know that the metals we mine and make available will play a crucial role in the future - what matters is how we produce them. Become part of us and drive change for future generations.
Do you want to contribute to important work within dam safety, documentation, and business development in Aitik? We are now looking for a Production Engineer who wants to be a structured and driving support for the operations, with a focus on follow-up, routines, and coordination within the organization's areas of responsibility.
Your role:
As a Production Engineer, your role is to support operations within your areas of responsibility, and you will work closely with the operations on issues concerning, among other things, dam safety, documentation coordination, routines, and establishments within the industrial area. The role involves both supporting the operations and setting requirements, as well as following up to ensure that decided working methods and routines are followed.
Your responsibilities:
In the role, you will work with the follow-up of dam safety deviations in consultation with the dam safety engineer and section manager. You are also responsible for documentation coordination within the organization, both related to archives and ongoing projects. An important part of the work is to develop and update routines and instructions within your areas of responsibility, so that they can be used by other parts of the organization. You will also handle the organization's establishments within the industrial area.
The work requires collaboration with several parts of the operations and means that you need to be able to drive issues forward, follow up on activities, and contribute to clear structure and traceability. Since dam safety and waste management are complex areas, we see that you have patience and a desire to gradually build a deep understanding of the operations.
Your contribution:
We are looking for you who have university-level education in engineering, organization, or other experience that we assess as equivalent. You have several years of experience working with administration, projects, or follow-up, and you are accustomed to working structured with documentation, routines, and coordination. You need to be able to communicate in both Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing, and have a B driving license for manual transmission.
It is meritorious if you have experience with operation or construction of tailings dams, education in dam safety or dam construction, and experience with continuous improvement work.
As a person, you are structured, take initiative, and have good collaboration skills. You thrive in a role where you get to be a support to the rest of the organization, while contributing with clarity, follow-up, and progress. You are happy to share your knowledge, take responsibility for your issues, and contribute to a work climate where colleagues support each other.
Why work with us?
At Boliden, we believe in promoting a workplace where care, courage, and responsibility are central to everything we do. We offer a workplace where we believe in collaboration and where what you contribute will have a direct impact on future generations. We are a company consisting of responsible and creative people who all work towards the same vision; to become the most sustainable and respected metal supplier in the world.
