About the role

As Coordinator and Inspector for Personal Fall Protection within the Fall Protection section, you will serve as an expert resource supporting operations regarding personal fall protection. Through competent advice, you will contribute to ensuring that operations meet the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations and legal requirements for fall protection and fall protection equipment. You will also contribute to risk prevention work.

You will drive the process of calling in and conducting inspections of personal fall protection equipment, meaning you will have many contact points throughout our exciting operations.

You play a key role in ensuring that we offer and conduct current training within the scope of fall protection and work in confined spaces.

Your main responsibilities

• Plan the annual schedule for inspecting personal fall protection equipment
• Plan the annual schedule to arrange for an external company to inspect our fixed fall protection systems in operations
• Provide support to operations regarding personal fall protection
• Call in personal fall protection equipment, inspect, and document
• Order fall protection products
• Coordinate training within the scope of fall protection and confined spaces
• Set requirements for training providers and quality-assure training content
• Conduct training in fall protection and confined spaces
• You will also have the opportunity for competence development in additional training areas

About you

• We prefer that you have completed fall protection training and confined space training.
• You have knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, linked to personal protective equipment.
• It is an advantage if you have good knowledge of the facilities within SSAB's area.
• You have good social skills and pedagogical competence.
• It is an advantage if you have completed the "Competent Person" training according to EN 365 (inspect personal fall protection equipment).
