Your Role

Are you detail-oriented, enjoy working with your hands, and are comfortable with machinery? As a CNC Operator at Saab, you will become part of a larger team in our machine shop. Here, we manufacture parts of various sizes and materials, including components used in the Gripen fighter jet.

As a CNC Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating and monitoring our machines in production
• Checking that parts meet the required quality standards
• Performing daily maintenance of the machines
• Ensuring the correct jobs and tools are available on site
• Collaborating with programmers and the inspection department to resolve issues
• Performing manual tasks such as deburring and polishing details

You will become an important part of a team where we support each other and solve problems together. Here, you will work with advanced technology and contribute to products that truly make a difference.

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, we value strong communication skills, as the job involves continuous contact with various support functions – sometimes in English. We are also looking for someone who is driven, eager to learn, and enjoys collaboration, as all work in the department is done with a strong team spirit.

The work group operates with goal-directed teams and 5S methodology, meaning you should be open and proactive to fit in. We appreciate computer literacy, and experience with ERP systems is a plus. While experience in similar roles is advantageous, we place significant emphasis on your personal qualities in this recruitment.

The workplace is located in Tannefors, Linköping, and the work schedule will involve shift work or night shifts.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance checks according to current regulations. For positions where Saab requires security classification, this may, in some cases, entail citizenship requirements.
