Are you an occupational therapist and want to make a positive difference for people with disabilities? Then you might be our new colleague! We are now looking for an occupational therapist for the Adult Team at the Rehabilitation Unit.
About Us
The Rehabilitation Unit offers interventions to people with congenital or early-acquired disabilities. We provide evidence-based care based on current research and proven experience. The Rehabilitation Unit is represented with a department in Karlshamn and one in Karlskrona, but we see ourselves as a unified Rehabilitation Unit with close collaboration across the county. We have approximately 50 employees, of whom 7 are occupational therapists.
For us, it is important to have a person-centered and health-promoting approach where we work to create value for the patient. Therefore, we actively work with accessibility and good customer service. At our workplace, you work in an activity where you have the opportunity to influence development and change work.
As a new occupational therapist with us, you will receive a thorough introduction and professional supervision from an experienced colleague. Within the framework of your employment, there is also the opportunity to participate in development and change work. We also offer you team supervision, regular professional meetings, wellness benefits, and free access to the gym.
About the Job
The Rehabilitation Unit offers meaningful work with complex and developmental patient cases. We work in interdisciplinary teams, and you will work both independently and together with competent professional and team colleagues. The work at the Rehabilitation Unit is free and varied, and you plan your calendar to a large extent yourself. You will have the opportunity to work from a life perspective and serve as a support for our patients and their networks.
The occupational therapist is an important piece of the puzzle in the team consisting of physiotherapists, special educators, speech therapists, social workers, and psychologists, and the daily work is varied. The tasks include assessing activity and functional capacity, interventions based on individually set goals, prescribing various types of assistive devices, supervising the patient's network, and issuing certificates, for example, for housing adaptations. The work takes place primarily within the Rehabilitation Unit's premises but can also occur in the patient's immediate environment such as school, home, and day activity centers, depending on need. There is an opportunity to perform certain administrative tasks remotely by agreement. Regular working hours are weekdays 8:00-16:30, and flexible agreements apply.
About You
You who apply are a licensed occupational therapist. We welcome newly graduated colleagues. You base your work on the patient's needs and involve the patient and their network in the work. You work efficiently with others and see teamwork as an asset to your profession.
You naturally take personal responsibility for your work, have the ability to prioritize tasks, and can quickly adapt to changed conditions. You plan your calendar independently based on a holistic view of the activity and in cooperation with colleagues.
You also have an interest in creating new ways of working together with others and see digital solutions as natural opportunities in your work.
To thrive and succeed in the work with us, you also need to be unpretentious both in absorbing knowledge and experience and in sharing your knowledge and experiences with colleagues. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
Applicants who are relevant for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record register before employment.
