Do you want to take on an important leadership role within the public sector and contribute to societal benefit from day one? We are now looking for an experienced interim manager who wants to lead a specialist group within animal protection and veterinary issues. This assignment is suitable for you if you are confident in your leadership and have extensive experience with occupational health and rehabilitation issues.
Here you will have the opportunity to create structure, develop employees, and ensure a well-functioning team. The assignment is carried out on-site in Nyköping together with engaged specialists.
Planned start date: August 24. Duration: 4–7 months. Scope: Full-time, 4 days on-site.
About the assignment
We are looking for an interim manager for the Unit for Animal Protection and Veterinary Issues. The group consists of approximately 12 specialists, including animal protection caseworkers and veterinarians. You are responsible for leading the operations in daily work and creating clarity, structure, and good conditions for the employees. The role also involves working together with the Department Manager to develop a requirement specification for a permanent managerial solution.
Responsibilities
- Lead, prioritize, and distribute daily work within the unit.
- Be responsible for occupational health and safety work and manage occupational health risks.
- Drive and handle rehabilitation cases and personnel issues.
- Coach and develop employees in their professional roles.
- Ensure structure, quality, and efficiency in operations.
- Collaborate with the Department Manager regarding recruitment materials for a permanent manager.
Who are you?
- You are a confident, clear, and unpretentious leader who creates trust within the organization.
- You have a coaching approach, good prioritization skills, and are accustomed to handling complex personnel issues. Furthermore, you are structured, communicative, and driven by creating good results together with others.
- Have extensive experience in managerial and leadership roles.
- Multi-year experience in occupational health and safety work.
- Very good experience with rehabilitation cases.
- Experience leading qualified specialists or expert teams.
- Good knowledge of personnel management and change management.
- Very good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
