VA Nordic is one of Sweden's leading full-service providers within water, sewage, and civil engineering. The group brings together specialized companies with broad expertise in earthworks and water/sewage contracting, trenchless pipe renewal, directional drilling, geotechnics, and infrastructure services. The group generates approximately 950 MSEK with around 300 employees. VA Nordic builds on successful entrepreneurial companies, combining local, personal business operations with the group's combined strength in business development, investments, technology, and knowledge sharing. The vision is to become nationwide specialists within the entire water and sewage sector.

Svatek is part of VA Nordic and is one of Sweden's most experienced and market-leading players in No Dig/trenchless pipe renewal. The company is headquartered in Växjö, with the Stockholm region as a key operational base. The business currently generates approximately 90 MSEK and has around 15 employees.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

Svatek is entering a very exciting phase as the water and sewage industry faces one of its largest investment periods ever. Climate adaptation, an aging pipe network, increased environmental requirements, digitalization, and growing investments in water and sewage infrastructure create a market with very strong future prospects. We are looking for you who want to lead and develop the business and contribute to our growth journey.

As CEO of Svatek, you have overall responsibility for the operations and the continued development of both the organization and the business. There is a concrete plan for the coming years, and we are looking for you who are driven by creating new business, identifying opportunities, and building relationships – equally comfortable working with customers as in operational activities.

The CEO role also includes VA Gruppen Mälardalen, active in earthworks and water/sewage contracting, which is also part of VA Nordic. The initial task for the new CEO is to plan the business forward together with the group management to capitalize on opportunities and synergies through developed cooperation between the businesses.

You will work closely with the group management at VA Nordic, which actively supports the companies' development through strategic work, business development, investments, and knowledge sharing. You report to the Group CEO of VA Nordic. The location is flexible in the Mälaren region/Stockholm or alternatively Växjö.

Your main areas of responsibility

• Lead and develop the business and build cooperation between Svatek and VA Gruppen Mälardalen with the goal of creating long-term and profitable growth.
• Create business opportunities by developing relationships with existing customers and establishing new customer relations, especially with public procurers.
• Work closely with production and technology to ensure high customer benefit and delivery capability.
• Be an active part of the group's continued development and cooperation between VA Nordic's companies.

Profile and experience

We place great emphasis on your personal qualities and see that you have the drive, business acumen, leadership skills, and ability to lead a smaller organization through a growth and profitability journey.

You build relationships and create business, and are not afraid to work operationally. You are a natural leader who builds trust and engagement.

As this is a project-based business with high risk exposure, you understand the interplay between customer, technology, delivery, and economics. You are structured, results-oriented, and accustomed to making decisions.

We see that you have a relevant university degree or equivalent experience. Experience from operations within construction, water/sewage, or infrastructure is an advantage for the role. Previous CEO experience is meritorious but not a requirement.
