RESPONSIBILITIES
Växjö Energi is an integral part of daily life for residents and businesses in the Växjö region. By delivering critical infrastructure in the form of electricity, heat, cooling, and broadband, we contribute every day to enabling people to live, work, and develop in a sustainable and growing society.
As Business Area Manager Power & Heat, you will play a central role in developing and securing some of the societal functions that people and businesses in Växjö rely on every day. You will lead our largest business area, responsible for the production of district heating and cooling, distribution to customers, and the development of energy services for the sustainable society of the future.
The focus is on developing the business and customer relationships, as well as identifying, initiating, and driving efficiency and improvement work, along with the continuous development of the business area's competence and capabilities. The issues you handle are often complex and cover an exciting spectrum of aspects such as personnel safety, external environment, economics, technology, market, employees, and collaborations.
You have overall responsibility for results and personnel and are responsible for overall planning through budget planning, business plans, resource supply, competence development, business monitoring, and more.
The role also includes actively following and influencing developments within the energy industry through participation in networks and industry forums. You contribute to understanding, translating, and implementing changes within legislation, authority requirements, and regulatory frameworks, while ensuring that the operations are well-positioned for the future market.
You report to the Group CEO of Växjö Energi and are part of the Växjö Energi Group Management Team, where you actively contribute to the development of the entire group.
QUALIFICATIONS
Succeeding in this role requires secure, business-oriented, and development-focused leadership. We are therefore looking for an experienced leader with a documented track record of leading larger operations through other managers and with clear result, operational, and business responsibility.
The role places high demands on the ability to create engagement, build strong management teams, and unite the organization around common goals. A strategic perspective combined with drive and execution capability is crucial for success in the role. You build trust through respect, clarity, and presence, and create a culture where people take responsibility, develop, and contribute to the success of the operations.
We see that you have:
- Experience leading managers and developing larger operations.
- A documented ability to drive change and development work with good results.
- Strong business acumen and experience in budget, result, and operational management.
- The ability to create involvement, clear direction, and strong accountability within the organization.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to handle complex issues within economics, technology, and operational development.
- Good ability to build long-term collaborations and collaborate with various stakeholders, both internally and externally.
Knowledge and experience from the energy industry is meritorious, as is experience from operations within infrastructure, production, or other critical societal functions. This experience may have been acquired within energy companies, industry, consulting, or supplier management related to the energy and infrastructure sector.
An academic education in engineering, economics, or another relevant field for the role is desirable. The role also requires good IT skills and very good proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
Why Växjö Energi
Here, you have the opportunity to lead an operation of great significance to society while simultaneously helping to shape the energy solutions of the future.
