RESPONSIBILITIES

The Department of Work and Welfare is on an exciting journey, focusing on the transition to the social services of the future. To strengthen our work towards a more knowledge-based and sustainable social service, we are also developing our support functions. We are now looking for a Unit Manager who wants to develop our support and administrative processes. Are you a secure and trust-based leader with an interest in driving development within administrative processes and who considers collaboration a given? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

You will be part of a management group together with other managers in the department. You report to the Division Manager, who is your direct superior. You have responsibility for operations, economy, personnel, and working environment. You lead a work group of approximately 20 employees consisting of administrators, archive coordinators, administrative secretaries, and project-employed social assistants who work together to provide support to the department's operations. The unit's mission is to provide the department's operations with quality-assured and professional administrative service. You lead the daily work and contribute to the continuous development of the operations from the unit's and the department's holistic perspective.

As Unit Manager for Business Support, you have the assignment of Archive Manager, where future challenges include transitioning to electronic archives, and coordination responsibility for the working environment at the workplace. Currently, this also includes responsibility for a decommissioning project of a business system to ensure information transfer.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A role where you have great opportunities to influence, shape, and further develop working methods, processes, and collaboration.
  • Competence development and support in your leadership role.
  • Close collaboration with colleagues and employees.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have a relevant university education, for example within administration, law, or other social science orientation.

We would like you to have:

  • Experience of leadership, for example as a manager, project manager, or other leadership experience that the employer considers relevant.
  • Experience of administrative work within a municipality or other authority.
  • Knowledge of the mission of social services.
  • Good understanding of municipal operations and/or experience of working in a politically governed organization.
  • Knowledge of the Archives Act.

We are looking for a driven and secure leader who has a coaching approach that engages and motivates while you dare to challenge in order to develop employees and operations. As a person, you need to be pedagogical, creative, and you dare to think new thoughts. We also value that you are communicative, have an easy time making contacts, and have good collaboration skills.

As a leader, you are clear and inclusive and create engagement and security in the group. You have a good ability to create structure and order, and you value high quality in both your own and the group's work. You have a good ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: Start date according to agreement.

Questions about the position will be answered from week 31 by Johanna Sundling.
