We are now looking for a HESS Specialist for our site in Lindesberg!

In the role of HESS Specialist, you will have the opportunity to be an influential advisor to the line organization by building understanding of theoretical concepts, industry standards, and best practices within HESS (Health, Environment, Safety & Security).

About the role

To succeed in this role, it is crucial that you possess sufficient competence and experience to act as an expert within the HESS field. With an academic and/or technical background, you have the ability to find practical approaches that meet the expectations and requirements of authorities and other stakeholders.

Examples of responsibilities and tasks:

• Drive improvement work within given areas of responsibility.
• Develop guidelines, routines, and instructions within given areas of responsibility.
• Coach and support the line organization in implementing strategies, plans, and approaches that meet authority requirements.
• In collaboration with operations, investigate accidents, incidents, and risk observations, and develop routines and improvement measures to prevent future accidents, incidents, and risk observations.
• Coordinate and be responsible for HSE reporting, including environmental reporting for the operations.
• In collaboration with other members of the HESS department and the line organization, you will develop the safety culture at the facility and stimulate continuous improvement work.

Our candidate

We are looking for you who have an academic degree at the Bachelor's or Master's level in health, environment, and safety, or alternatively an engineering degree with a focus on chemistry or equivalent experience.

As a HESS Specialist, you should have the ability to drive the work with continuous improvements in systematic occupational health and safety work. You are proactive, see opportunities, and have the ability to drive improvement work through relationship building.

You are a good communicator and have the ability to build relationships with your surroundings. You have a positive attitude and can, with enthusiasm and energy, get others on board with the implementation of plans and measures. Furthermore, you are analytical, result-oriented, and solution-focused.
