Your Role

In this role, you will work on repairs, modifications, component manufacturing, and maintenance of aircraft within the scope of our operational permits. When working on component manufacturing, you will use common machinery. You will work in close collaboration with engineers and technicians to find solutions for various types of modifications and installations.

Here, there are excellent opportunities for personal development within structure and sheet metal, as the work includes advanced modifications and repairs of aircraft and components, such as welding and painting.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have experience working with sheet metal, industry, or a similar field. As a person, you take personal responsibility and initiative to ensure delivery to the customer. We believe you are flexible and have a good ability to work both independently and in a team. The work requires you to be meticulous and have a developed awareness of quality and safety. Personal suitability is highly valued.

You should also have:

• Some form of mechanical/practical upper secondary or post-secondary education.
• A few years of experience in manufacturing industry.
• Experience in reading technical drawings.
• Fluent Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• A valid driver's license (Category B).

A background as an aircraft mechanic with a focus on structure and sheet metal is considered an asset.

The position is located in Nyköping, and working hours are during the day. Work may occasionally take place at other locations in Sweden.

The position requires you to undergo and pass the security clearance process according to current regulations. For positions at Saab, security clearance requirements may, in some cases, entail specific citizenship requirements.
