About the Role

With us, you will have an important role in a socially vital operation where your work makes a concrete difference to Katrineholm Municipality and our residents. The Streets and Infrastructure unit consists of 20 employees who work daily with the repair and maintenance of Katrineholm's streets and infrastructure. We handle everything from snow removal to the new construction of playgrounds. With us, you become part of a committed team with broad competence and great variation in tasks!

Responsibilities

As Workshop Manager, you have a central role in planning, prioritizing, and following up on work in the workshop. You work both administratively and practically, which means you need to enjoy combining computer work, planning, and ordering with mechanical work in the workshop. The workshop handles a varied fleet of machinery and vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, loaders, implement carriers, tractors, and lawn mowers. The work also involves on-call duty/standby during certain periods.

You will primarily work with:

• Planning and prioritizing workshop tasks
• Leading and instructing workshop staff
• Ordering spare parts, materials, and services
• Service, troubleshooting, and repairs
• Contact with suppliers and internal customers
• Follow-up of work orders and costs
• Contributing to order, structure, and development of the workshop's working methods

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have experience as a mechanic, repairer, or something else that the employer considers equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing. For the position, a B-driver's license for manual transmission is required, and it is meritorious if you also have a C-driver's license. We would like you to have good knowledge of and have built a good understanding of vehicles, machinery, and technical equipment, as well as good computer skills and the ability to work in digital systems.

We also see that you have the ability to work in a structured manner, plan, organize, and prioritize your work in an effective way. You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and are happy to share your knowledge and experiences. You have the ability to listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts or collaboration difficulties in a constructive way. Furthermore, you are service-oriented, have a professional attitude, and strive to provide support and find solutions based on the needs of the operations and residents.
