Becoming part of the SSAB family means joining a journey. A journey that we believe is crucial for the planet's future and sustainability. Steel has been one of the most important materials for our societal development and will remain so in the future. In our homes, in bridges connecting our cities, and in tomorrow's cars. At SSAB, we are proud of our history and our leadership in high-strength steel. At the same time, we are aware that steel production is one of the industries with the highest greenhouse gas emissions globally. This must change. We have therefore developed the world's first fossil-free steel production process and committed to becoming largely fossil-free. As part of SSAB, you will play a key role in achieving this goal and contributing to the green transition of the entire steel industry.

About the role

SSAB's workshop is centrally organized and collaborates with all organizational levels within production. Together, we deliver high-quality, qualified services in close cooperation with production units. The role includes setup and programming of our Haas and Enshu milling machines using ISO programming. Work on other workshop machines is also included. We offer a role with great opportunities for further development, both within the position and across the company. You will work together with your colleagues in a friendly team that maintains and develops our facilities.

The work schedule is two shifts.

Your main responsibilities

  • Manufacturing components in a quality-assured and cost-effective manner
  • Assist in service and repair operations
  • Participate in larger projects related to machining

About you

  • Vocational upper secondary education in workshop technology
  • Experience in machining and CNC programming
  • Knowledge of CAD/CAM and Edgem programming, as well as experience programming in Fanuc and Heidenhain control systems, is meritorious

You are a meticulous person who is delivery-oriented, positive, curious, and eager to contribute to development. You have good IT skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team. Furthermore, you must be proficient in Swedish, both in speech and writing.

Selection will be conducted on an ongoing basis, so submit your application today!
