About the role

In the role of Power System Analyst within grid planning, you will work with the analysis, planning, and development of the electricity transmission grid. Among other things, you will be responsible for:

• investigating and proposing technical designs for connections to the transmission grid
• conducting grid analyses and studies, as well as performing grid capacity calculations
• developing proposals for measures to increase transfer capacity in internal transfer interfaces and cross-border interfaces
• having a coordinating role with responsibility for long-term outage planning in the area, as well as contributing to and relieving work in this area
• acting as a central link towards programs and projects
• supporting project activities and account managers with grid analyses and expert support in grid planning matters, as well as technical requirements for new connections.

The work involves a combination of independent analysis work and collaboration in larger teams. You are responsible for driving your analyses forward independently, while continuously maintaining dialogue and collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders.

The role offers good opportunities to further develop your skills in both investigation and project management, for example by taking responsibility for one of our larger study projects. You are also offered the opportunity to engage in international collaboration forums and participate in internal cross-functional groups working on further developing our investigation and investment processes.

You will belong to the Grid Planning South unit, which is responsible for designing and developing the power system based on Svenska kraftnät's role as grid owner and meeting the world's need for grid capacity in southern Sweden. The unit currently consists of 11 employees located at our various offices. We value respect for each other, curiosity, openness, and show each other care. Education:

You have a Master of Science degree or equivalent with a relevant focus for the role, such as electrical power, energy systems, or technical physics, or equivalent experience acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät assesses as equivalent.

You also have:

• at least three years of work experience in power system analysis
• ease in expressing yourself both verbally and in writing in both Swedish and English.

Meritorious

• experience in grid planning at transmission network, distribution network companies, or similar
• experience in grid planning regarding outages
• experience with PSS/E or other grid calculation tools
• experience with Python programming.

• Travel is included in the position a few days a year, primarily within Sweden
