You are the person who makes product flows, processes, and systems work together. You likely have a background in Supply Chain, procurement, purchasing, retail, or e-commerce, but have moved increasingly closer to systems, requirements specification, and business development. You thrive in the borderland between operations and IT, where you capture needs, translate them into clear requirements, and ensure that solutions work in practice. You do not need to be a developer – but you need to understand systems, processes, and how changes affect the business. We are now looking for a consultant for an exciting interim assignment with a leading retail player, with the possibility of stepping into a permanent role as Supply Chain Development Manager in the long run.

The Assignment

The role is located within Supply Chain Management at one of Sweden's leading retail players. You will become a crucial link between operations and IT and play a central role in the development of business-critical systems and processes related to Supply Chain, Commerce, and product data.

The assignment arises in connection with a reorganization while the company recruits its future Supply Chain Development Manager. This means the assignment initially runs from August to the end of February, but for the right person, there is an opportunity to also be considered for the permanent role moving forward.

Responsibilities

The assignment is about understanding the business and translating that understanding into clear requirements, smart solutions, and successful implementations.

You will work with, among other things:

  • Gathering requirements together with the business
  • Specifying requirements for internal and external development teams
  • Test planning, testing, and quality assurance
  • Process development and improvement work
  • Analysis of business processes and system flows
  • Troubleshooting and improving existing solutions
  • Collaboration with operations, system owners, and IT
  • Development and improvement of reporting, KPIs, and decision support

You will work in an environment with several integrated business systems where product master data, supplier portals, pricing, customer flows, reporting, and Supply Chain processes are in focus.

We are looking for you who

  • Have a post-secondary education in a relevant field
  • Have several years of experience from Supply Chain, procurement, purchasing, retail, e-commerce, or other operations with complex product flows
  • Have worked close to operations with requirements specification for business systems, planning systems, master data systems, supplier portals, or similar system environments
  • Are used to capturing needs from the business and translating them into clear requirements, test cases, and working solutions
  • Have a good understanding of processes within, for example, procurement, product data, supplier flows, forecasting/planning, pricing, or reporting
  • Have good experience working with data, analysis, and reporting
  • Communicate fluently in Swedish and English

It is meritorious if you have experience with systems such as Relex, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other major business, planning, or master data systems.

As a person, you are confident in dialogue with various stakeholders and can lead workshops, challenge requirements, and create momentum. You have the ability to understand both the details and the big picture, and you thrive in a role where you get to influence how the business works through better system support and clearer processes.

We believe you are driven, curious, and solution-oriented. You like when a lot is happening, are willing to take responsibility, and enjoy quickly getting up to speed in complex environments where operations, systems, and people need to interact.
