Do you want to combine development, performance optimization, and database reliability in one role? We are looking for a Senior Database Engineer/Developer to join a cross-functional team building and evolving a modern, large-scale data platform.

Your Mission

• Design and optimize stored procedures, functions, and complex SQL queries
• Work with Dynamic SQL and data partitioning for large datasets
• Perform index optimization, schema design, and performance issue analysis, including using sp_Blitz
• Monitor and interpret performance via Query Store, Splunk dashboards, and tools like Redgate Monitor
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), deployment automation, and version control
• You will avoid traditional DBA tasks such as backups, high availability, and user management — the focus is on development and performance

We are looking for someone who

• Has extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including query performance optimization, index tuning, and troubleshooting in production environments
• Has a deep understanding of execution plans, SQL Server internals, and transaction isolation levels
• Has experience with large-scale databases and partitioning strategies
• Has experience with monitoring and observability tools
• Has experience with DevOps and CI/CD for databases
• Speaks and writes Swedish and English fluently at an expert level

Scope

Full-time, 100%, based in Stockholm — no remote work.

Contract Period

The assignment runs from 2026-08-10 to 2027-06-25.
