The Juridical Psychiatry Business Area (VO) belongs to the Administration of Psychiatry, Habilitation, and Assistive Devices. The business area consists of nine inpatient units for forensic psychiatry located in Trelleborg, Helsingborg, Hässleholm, and Kristianstad. Our outpatient units are located in Malmö, Helsingborg, and Hässleholm. We currently have approximately 400 employees.

Juridical psychiatry treats individuals who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care by the court. Many have serious psychotic illness, multiple disabilities with functional impairment, brain injury, severe personality disorder, or substance abuse. Secondary complications such as lack of formal education, criminality, social isolation, and exclusion are common. The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to rehabilitate individuals suffering from serious mental illness into daily life in society with a reduced risk of reoffending.

In Hässleholm, there is an outpatient unit and three inpatient units; Unit 10, 11, and 12. Furthermore, we have Unit 9 with nine care beds in Kristianstad. The inpatient units in Hässleholm have a total of 37 care beds. They are primarily intended for patients who have been committed to forensic psychiatric care. Patients may stay with us for long periods in some cases, which gives us unique opportunities to follow them during the treatment and rehabilitation process.

We work so that all patients within inpatient care are our shared responsibility, and it is a matter of course that we help each other between units when needed.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We now welcome you, the nurse, to us at Unit 10, a Class 3 inpatient unit with 11 care beds.

We offer you an independent and varied job where you can use your specific knowledge as a nurse. Care work is always based on the patient's individual needs, and you will receive a tailored introduction with shadowing based on personal needs. Competence development and supervision, for example in patient work, occur continuously. For documentation in work, we use the computer support Melior.

Here, as a nurse, you have a leadership role and are responsible for nursing care. Here you work cross-professionally and are part of a team consisting of assistant nurses, doctors, resident doctors, medical secretaries, social workers, psychologists, and occupational therapists. Team collaboration, where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other, is fundamental to our way of working. Our operations are characterized by diversity, experience, and high competence.

Through a treatment characterized by respect and knowledge, we today have a very low frequency of threats and violence within forensic psychiatry. We see your contribution to the unit's continuous development as a very important part of your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. You have language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale. Since travel in the job occurs, it is valuable if you have a B-driver's license. If you have specialist training in psychiatry and/or experience from psychiatric care work, it is meritorious. We would like you to have good knowledge of Melior, PASiS, and/or My Plans.

Furthermore, we see that you contribute through your engagement and good communication and are happy to share your knowledge with colleagues and nursing students.
