The Operations Area GataPark covers, maintains, and is responsible for the municipality's road network, public spaces, parks, municipal forest management, the operations area's work machines and vehicles, workshop, investment projects, and the municipality's overall vehicle organization.

Currently, the operations area comprises approximately 30 employees, divided between the unit and a support service. The operations area also plays an important role in civil crisis preparedness, with staff on standby seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Job Responsibilities

As an operations worker with a focus on machine operator at GataPark, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the municipality's streets, parks, and public environments. The work is varied and is performed both independently and together with colleagues within the unit.

In the role, you will among other things:

• Operate and handle various types of construction machinery and vehicles
• Perform operational and maintenance work on streets, roads, parks, and green areas
• Participate in construction and repair work within the municipality's public environments
• Perform earthworks, excavation, loading, and transport
• Be responsible for daily supervision and simpler maintenance of machines and equipment
• Participate in snow clearing, ice control, and other seasonal tasks

On-call duty is included in the position. Work outside regular working hours may occur during snow clearing, ice control, urgent operational disruptions, or other events requiring quick interventions.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• Upper secondary education or other education that the employer considers equivalent
• Experience within the field, for example, road mowing
• Operator's license for wheel loaders and excavators
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• Category B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• YKB (Professional Competence Certificate)
• Category C driver's license
• Category CE driver's license
• Training/certification Work on Road (APV)
• Operator's license for other construction machinery
