An important part of the Community Development Administration is Municipal Properties, the cohesive link in local premises issues for municipal operations. Today, Municipal Properties is responsible for over 300 owned and rented objects with a total area of approximately 390,000 square meters. We are in an expansive phase with many planned new constructions, renovations, and reconstructions of existing stock. We are now looking for a Project Manager who wants to contribute to the development of future municipal premises.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you are responsible for driving construction and reconstruction projects from idea and planning to completed building and handover to operations. The role is broad and varied, combining project management with planning, economics, coordination, and follow-up.

You lead projects through the entire process, prepare decision-making materials, are responsible for budgets and schedules, and coordinate consultants, contractors, and other actors. You also liaise with authorities, lead project and construction meetings, and actively work to find sustainable and long-term solutions in our projects.

Here, you will work on projects ranging from reconstructions and maintenance to new production and development of the municipality's properties.

You work together with other project managers and other specialist functions within Municipal Properties. Together, we develop our properties, our ways of working, and our operations, always with a focus on quality, long-term perspective, and collaboration.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a university education in construction, property, technology, community planning, or another area that the employer deems relevant. If you have acquired equivalent competence through several years of experience in qualified project management within construction or property, that is also of interest.

You have experience in independently leading projects, preferably within construction or reconstruction, and are accustomed to being responsible for the project's economics, schedule, and quality throughout the process. You have good knowledge of the different stages of the construction process and experience in coordinating consultants, contractors, and other actors towards common goals. You express yourself well in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, have good computer skills, and a valid driver's license (Category B).

We would appreciate it if you have experience working in a client organization. If you also have experience from public operations, knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU), or work with sustainable building and climate issues, it is a merit.

To succeed in the role, you need to be structured and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and drive several projects in parallel. You work independently, take responsibility for moving the work forward, and have a solution-oriented approach where you see the big picture and can make well-balanced decisions even when conditions change. The role involves many contact surfaces, so it is important that you are communicative and have a knack for building trusting relationships. You coordinate different interests in a listening and professional manner and contribute to good collaboration both internally and externally.
