The City Services Administration has an important and exciting mission to deliver, coordinate, and develop services for residents and administrations in Mölndal Municipality. The administration has approximately 550 employees and is organized into four business areas; meals and local care, water and recycling, city maintenance, and staff and customer.
City Maintenance has approximately 150 employees who manage the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's public environments. We are responsible for buildings, streets, parks, and green areas as well as other surfaces both indoors and outdoors. Through our work, we contribute to a clean, safe, and pleasant city for residents and visitors.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Unit Manager for Park Maintenance, you have the overall responsibility for leading, planning, and developing the operation responsible for the city's parks, green areas, and public outdoor environments. The role implies overall responsibility where you ensure that the operation is conducted efficiently, with high quality, and in accordance with current laws, guidelines, and agreements.
You are responsible for the budget, personnel, and working environment, and you work actively to optimize resource usage to achieve economic goals, high quality in delivery, and engaged employees.
In daily work, you lead a group of approximately 25 employees and are responsible for seasonal and summer staff, which requires close, clear, and structured leadership. The unit also consists of two coordinators who have a supervisory function and act as support to the Unit Manager. You create good conditions for the operation and ensure stable and secure operation of parks and green areas.
The role involves a combination of strategic and operational work. You alternate between driving long-term development of the city's park and green structure and ensuring that daily operations function efficiently. You also work in close collaboration with internal and external actors, such as other administrations, contractors, associations, and residents.
As part of the City Maintenance management group, you have an important role in the development of the operation. You contribute to strategic issues, drive improvement work, and participate in urban planning processes and development projects. In the work, you receive support from coordinators within the operation. In the role, you report to the Business Manager and are part of the City Maintenance management group.
On-call duty may occur.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the role of Unit Manager for Park Maintenance, we are looking for a secure and engaged leader who can combine clear leadership with a good understanding of the operation and development of outdoor environments.
- You have a relevant university degree or equivalent that the employer assesses as equivalent.
- To succeed in the role, we see that you have documented managerial experience with responsibility for operations, personnel, and economy. You have experience in operation, maintenance, or development of parks and outdoor environments, as well as experience leading through others, such as employees or contractors.
- You have good knowledge of working environment issues and experience with contract and tender management. Furthermore, you have a good ability to work structured with budget, follow-up, and resource planning.
- As a leader, you are clear, communicative, and unpretentious. You create engagement and participation through present leadership and build trusting relationships both internally and externally. You have the ability to set direction, make decisions, and drive development in a structured way.
- Since the position involves continuous dialogue with employees, colleagues, and external parties, it is important that you express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
It is meritorious if you have experience from municipal operations or public administration, as well as knowledge in sustainability work, green planning, or urban development.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: Start date according to agreement.
