Automation Technician in Building Automation

Assemblin Automation in Kungsbacka is growing and needs to strengthen its service and commissioning operations. The branch office is located in Kungsbacka with an office also in Halmstad, and assignments will be available in Greater Gothenburg, Kungsbacka, Härryda, and northern Halland.

About the role

As an automation technician at Assemblin, you work on-site with customers on technical systems that make buildings function. The assignments are varied and can range from planned service and commissioning to troubleshooting, self-inspections, and actions when a customer needs quick help with an important function.

You will work in customer environments such as schools, nursing homes, municipal premises, offices, residences, travel centers, and hospital environments. The role involves significant personal responsibility, and you largely plan your own work, while having support from colleagues, project managers, and managers at the Kungsbacka office.

Examples of tasks

• Service, troubleshooting, commissioning, programming, and optimization within building automation.
• Work with control and regulation systems, PLC/BMS, monitoring, and higher-level systems.
• Read electrical diagrams, work close to electrical panels, and understand technical connections in buildings.
• Plan own assignments, perform self-inspections, and ensure delivery to the customer.
• Participate in teamwork regarding specific customers and assignments.
• With interest and experience, you can also participate in estimating jobs, assessing solutions, and taking customer responsibility.

The role involves a mix of field work, office work, and the possibility to work from home when assignments allow. How the work is distributed depends on the assignment, customer, and your competence.

Who are you?

It is important that you have a relevant foundation in automation, control/regulation, HVAC, operation, and maintenance, and that you want to continue developing within building automation.

We would like you to have

• Relevant education in automation, operation, and maintenance, HVAC, or equivalent industry experience.
• Experience with control/regulation, building automation, service, commissioning, programming, or technical troubleshooting.
• Experience with equipment cabinets and the ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently, plan your time, and take responsibility for delivery.
• Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license (Category B).

Advantageous experience

• Experience with PLC/BMS, SCADA, or higher-level systems.
• Experience with systems such as Arrigo, Citect, WebPort, Beckhoff, Regin, Saia, and/or Trend.
• Knowledge of networks, wireless systems, or communication between technical systems.
• Experience from service operations, public customers, municipal buildings, or hospital environments.
