The department's mission is to offer adults guidance and education in lifelong learning. Within the department, there is also guidance and support for adult individual development towards self-sufficiency. The department is responsible for integration and also coordinates labor market policy measures.

Description

Do you want to be part of building something from scratch?

Now you have the chance to be part of creating a completely new operation in Forshaga Municipality!

The position is located within the department's unit Individual and Development, and you will belong to our labor market operation. There, we work with individual support to strengthen people's path to self-sufficiency and active participation in society.

In collaboration with the Klarälvdalen Coordination Board, we are launching a new meeting place – and we are looking for an engaged social pedagogue who wants to help shape content and working methods from the start.

The meeting place is an open operation aimed at people between 18–67 years who wish to break social isolation and gain increased participation in society. Here, every visitor is at the center, and the focus is on safety, inclusion, and meaningful activities. The operation will also include work-based activities for people with income support linked to the introduction of activity requirements.

Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue, you will have a central role in both the establishment and operation of the activity. The work includes:

  • Create, plan, and conduct individually adapted and group-based activities
  • Lead and facilitate group activities with a focus on participation, structure, and motivation
  • Provide support in social rehabilitation with a focus on strengthening the individual's resources and independence
  • Contribute to structuring and developing working methods within the operation
  • Work relationship-building and motivational together with participants
  • Be responsible for and participate in the daily operational work at the meeting place together with colleagues
  • Collaborate with internal and external actors regarding individuals' needs and development
  • Document and follow up on interventions within the framework of the operation

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

  • Are educated as a social pedagogue or have other equivalent education
  • Have experience in social work with adults
  • Are confident in meeting people in different life situations
  • Have an inclusive and respectful approach
  • Enjoy working both independently and in a team
  • Have the ability to structure, drive, and develop operations
  • Are creative and solution-focused in your working method

Merits

  • Experience of work according to IPS (Individual Placement and Support)
  • Experience of social rehabilitation
  • Experience of leading group activities

Personal suitability is of great importance.

Conditions

Fixed-term employment at 100% until 2027-12-31.
