Vimmerby Energi & Miljö is seeking a Operations Technician for Heat

About the Role

As an Operations Technician, you will work with process control and operational optimization, as well as corrective and planned maintenance at our production facilities. This also includes troubleshooting and repair during acute operational disruptions and faults.

In addition to district heating in Vimmerby, we operate four local heating networks with associated boiler plants in towns around Vimmerby. Our production facilities use both biofuels and biogas. Our main facility is a modern biofuel-fired combined heat and power plant where we produce, in addition to district heating, steam, hot water, and electricity delivered to our local customers.

Working hours are 07:00–16:00, and on-call duty is included every sixth week.

About You

In this role, it is crucial that you have a keen eye for service and preventive maintenance. You have relevant technical education, such as a degree as an operations technician, operations engineer, or marine engineer. We value experience from similar operations, such as process and/or operation-related tasks.

We assume you are comfortable working both in the control room and practically out in our facilities. Knowledge of computerized control and monitoring systems as well as expertise in combustion technology is advantageous.

You have your own drive, see what needs to be done in daily operations, and are eager to take initiative to develop them. Good social skills and teamwork ability are a given for us. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

You have good proficiency in Swedish and English. You hold a valid driver's license (Category B).
